Strategic Preaching

This week I began to get caught up on the sermons I have downloaded.  I always head to the NorthPoint church site because Andy Stanley is one reliable, solid preacher.  This time, however, he was not there.  Instead, one of their campus pastors preached, perhaps the best strategic sermon I have ever heard.

What I mean by that is that this sermon first: did an amazing job of helping you enter into the subject of the Scripture for the morning through a well done introduction.  Then the Scripture was exegeted and expounded remarkably well.  It was applied so that anyone could understand how the message from God was to be understood personally.  The BIG STRATEGIC PART was that he strategically connected the applications to the purpose and programs of the church in a way that didn't say: "please come to our thing" but said: "Hey, this is for you and will really help you."

Take a listen
